The medium weight waxed cotton outer allows for showerproofing, protection from cold winds and superior thorn proofing for the use in country sports. If you are heading out into the field, then you can be sure that the Barbour Beaufort will not let you down – cut to a relaxed fit, the Beaufort offers exceptional freedom of movement, a lined rear zipped game pocket, and two large bellow pockets for storing cartridges. The classic Beaufort also boasts two further handwarmer pockets for when you're caught without your gloves, and a zipped interior pocket for your valuables. The lining itself features Barbour's Classic Tartan on a soft cotton for added comfort; this signature pattern can be easily matched up with many of Barbour's other accessories to create an effortless, put together look. If you are to be wearing the Beaufort in adverse weather, you can easily adapt it with an optional waxed collar, which can be studded onto the underside of the traditional corduroy collar. For further protection against the elements, there are Velcro fastening wind cuffs, and there is the option to zip in a quilted liner for further insulation.

• How to re-proof your wax product, using Barbour Thornproof Wax Dressing:
• 1.You require a pan of hot water and soft cloth or sponge
• 2. Choose a warm room or outside on a hot day
• 3. Stand the tin in hot water to soften dressing
• 4. Work the dressing well into the garment using the cloth or sponge
• 5. Pay attention to seams, creases and dry patches
• 6. Rub in well, don't just paint on
• 7. Do not use excess dressing
• 8. For a 'factory' finish, blow evenly with a hairdryer
• 9. Hang the garment overnight in a warm place
• Never use hot water, detergents, solvents or soap
• Do not dry clean or machine wash
